v.1.588
Clearer writing and checklists in Tasks
Write structured task descriptions and comments without losing their formatting when you save.
Tasks
What this solves
Task editing could lose blank lines, carry bold styling into later text, or turn several lines into one checkbox. Comments did not offer a formatting toolbar.
What changed
- Shift+Enter continues a list with a new item, or creates a paragraph outside a list. New to-dos start unchecked; an empty item exits the list.
- Select existing lines and turn them into individual to-dos, bullet points or numbered items.
- Blank paragraphs and mixed bold and normal text survive saving and reopening. Images no longer run into the table that follows them.
- Comments now include formatting, checklists, Undo and Redo, alongside mentions and attachments. The input can expand for longer drafts.
- Enter still saves task edits or posts a comment. Tab and Shift+Tab indent and outdent lists.
- The toolbar wraps on mobile, with a single rounded focus outline and readable input text.
Where to find it
Open Tasks, then edit a task description or write in its Comments section below the attachments.
Useful for
Teams writing detailed briefs, review notes and step-by-step checklists, on desktop or mobile.
