v.1.588

Company setup finishes its products, use cases and features reliably

Setting up a new company now completes the steps that build your product catalogue, use cases and connected features, instead of leaving them empty or marked as failed.

Knowledge Center

What this solves

  • The "connected features" step of a company scan had been failing for every company since the end of August, so new companies finished setup with no features at all.
  • Product generation regularly gave up part-way through and reported an error, because a catalogue for a company with ten or more products took longer to write than the step was willing to wait.
  • Use case generation failed the same way, sometimes surfacing a timeout error even though nothing was wrong.
  • Starting a scan twice in quick succession ran two scans at once, wasting credits and sometimes overwriting a finished product list with a shorter one.

What changed

  • The features step works again, and the fault that broke it is now caught automatically before any similar change can reach you.
  • Products and use cases are no longer abandoned for being long. The system now watches for a stalled request rather than a slow one, so a large catalogue finishes instead of being cut off, while a genuinely stuck request still fails quickly.
  • If the first model is unavailable, product generation now falls back to a second one instead of failing outright, and every failure is recorded so we see it immediately rather than days later.
  • A company can only have one scan running at a time. A second start is now a no-op instead of a duplicate run.
  • Steps that extract or classify information rather than write content moved to a lighter, faster model. Content you read — your product briefings, use cases and buyer personas — is unchanged.

Where to find it

  • Knowledge Center → your company's setup progress, and the Products, Use Cases and Features pages.
  • Any company created or re-scanned after this release.

Useful for

  • Anyone onboarding a new company, or re-scanning an existing one after a website change.
  • Teams whose Features page has been empty since late August — a re-scan now fills it.
