Creatives: four places, one vocabulary
Creatives has its own entry in the Marketing menu with four tabs, each named by the question it answers: **Library** (what we made), **Media** (what we hold), **Moodboard** (what we saved from elsewhere) and **Published** (what is already out).
What this solves
A creative could only exist inside a campaign, so work made for one was invisible to the next. "Moodboard", "Collections", "Groups" and "References" were four names for two ideas, and none said whether a thing was ours or theirs, or whether it had already gone out.
What changed
- One state on every card. Draft, Approved, Scheduled, Live, Archived for what we made; Moodboard, Media, Text for the raw things — the same word and colour in the Library, a campaign, the Calendar and a task. - Library. Everything we made, in every state, with a strip along its life and Texts for hooks kept before they are used. Each card carries one default action and a menu. - Media. Your photos, logos and clips and everything already on your website, in one tab instead of two places. Moved here from the Knowledge Center; old links still land on it. - Moodboard. Drop a link, a file or a thought at the top of the tab and nothing is asked of you. Articles are read on arrival — a summary, the hooks they used, why they work — and each hook can be saved with one click. Nothing you did not make can ever be posted from here. - Tags, not folders. One grouping for everything. Open a tag and it is a board: ours and theirs side by side, each keeping its own state. - Published. A read-only record of every live post and running ad, by week and channel. - You can watch a creative being made, and open it to work on: every field editable and saving as you type, the images beside it, and where it is used.
