Watch a set of pictures form, and remake the one slide that let it down
Creatives now shows the work while it happens, judges a carousel as the one thing it is, and lets you make a single slide again instead of the whole deck.
What this solves
Pressing Create meant staring at a spinner and then receiving everything at once. A carousel arrived as six loose images to approve one by one, even though it gets posted as one deck, and one weak slide meant paying to make all six again. A run that produced nothing simply stopped.
What changed
- The wait shows the work. Pressing Create fills the card at once with one slot per picture, in the grid they will land in, and — where the model supports it — each picture appears *forming* in its slot and sharpens as it renders. They arrive one after another, and nothing on the page jumps. - A carousel is one thing happening, and it is sharp. The slides of a deck are the same subject on the same set with one thing changing between them, rather than six ads that happen to match. Longer decks are drawn a few slides at a time, each part matched to the first, so every slide is rendered at or above the size it gets posted at. - A carousel is judged once. A deck shows one slide at a size worth looking at with the swipe order underneath, and is kept or passed as a whole, because that is how it gets posted. - Replace one slide instead of the whole deck. The slide that lets a carousel down can be made again on its own, matched to the deck it belongs to, for the price of one picture instead of six. It keeps its place in the order, and the previous version is kept. - A run that fails says so. If nothing came back, the result says so plainly, notes that nothing was charged for pictures never made, and offers to try again. If anything had to be left out of a set, it says what and why.
