Website checks now arrive — and the feed says so when they have not

What this solves

• Website checks were never arriving. For most companies with website monitoring switched on, the pages were being read but the results had nowhere to land — so price moves, new products and positioning changes never reached the feed, while the page kept saying "First check is on its way".
• Follower changes looked like news. A follower count that crept a few percent over three months was shown with the same weight as a price change.
• Launches and announcements went stale. What competitors published themselves was only refreshed once a month.
• Filters could hide themselves. Choosing "What they announced" and then narrowing the window could leave an empty feed with no visible filter to clear.

What changed

• Website changes reach you. Every monitored company's pages are re-read on the chosen rhythm and meaningful changes land in "What changed", each with the page it came from.
• Honest waiting states. When a first reading has been asked for and has not come back, the feed and the dashboard say "Website checks have not started" instead of promising it is on its way.
• Follower jumps only when they are real. A jump is now a move between two readings at most a month apart, shown quietly at the end of the day's list — never a headline, never a green arrow for a competitor's gain.
• Announcements refreshed weekly. Launches, articles and announcements competitors put out themselves are checked every seven days.
• Filters stay visible while applied, the window reset clears them, and a competitor's history reads "page count not recorded" rather than "re-read 0 pages" when a count is missing.
