Paste a category page and every product keeps its own price
Creatives now reads a shop's category or offer page as the list of products it is, so a carousel shows different products, each with its own price and dates.
What this solves
Pasting a category page — a clothing range, a weekly offer — used to be read as if it were one product. The page's products were squeezed into a few lines of text, only the first product's picture was taken, and a carousel could show that one product on every slide with other products' prices printed beside it.
What changed
- Category and offer pages are recognised as lists of products. Each product keeps its own name, its price and any old price, and everything else the page says about it as written: the pack size, the colours, the dates it is on sale.
- Each product brings its own picture. Pasting such a page attaches one picture per product, choosing different products first, so a four-slide carousel shows four different things.
- A price stays with its product. Every picture carries its own product's facts, and a price is only printed where that product is shown.
- Only what the page says. A product, price, date or claim that the page does not show is left out, and a crossed-out price is kept as the old price, never as the current one.
- Product pages work as before. A page about a single product is still read as that product, even when it lists related products underneath.
- The link shows as Product listing in the box, in all five languages.
Where to find it
Open Creatives, paste the address of a category or offer page into the message box, and ask for a carousel or a set of posts. You can also add the page from the Context panel and choose which products' pictures to use.
Useful for
Retail and e-commerce teams promoting a whole range or a weekly offer, who want each product shown with its own price without assembling the slides by hand.
