Branded emails for every account security step
Changing your login email, confirming a password change and turning two-factor authentication on or off now all send a Checkgrow email.
What this solves
Some account emails were never written, so the step behind them failed. The clearest case was changing the email you sign in with in My Account, which could not complete. Security teams also expect people to be told when protection on their account changes.
What changed
- Changing your login email sends a confirmation link to your new address and one to your current address. The change happens once both are confirmed.
- Confirming a password change on an older sign-in sends a short code by email.
- Two-factor authentication being turned on or removed sends a notice to the account, so an unexpected change is noticed straight away.
- Every email uses the same Checkgrow design as the sign-in and password reset emails.
