v.1.617

What changed now includes your competitors' LinkedIn news

Launches, partnerships, awards, events and new reports that your competitors announce on their own LinkedIn page now appear in **What changed**, each with a one-line headline and a link to the post.

Competitors

What this solves

Checkgrow already read your competitors' LinkedIn posts every week, but only counted them. What changed showed website edits, ads and the occasional news story, so a competitor could announce a product or an acquisition on LinkedIn and it never reached your feed. The posting-rhythm rows were also unreliable: some said a competitor had posted 0 times in two weeks when it had posted twenty.

What changed

  • Notable posts become changes. Each new post on a competitor's own page is checked, and only real news is kept: a launch, company news (a partnership, acquisition, funding, an award, a big customer, a senior hire), an event they host or attend, or a new report or case study. Opinion posts, product promotion, event recaps and holiday greetings are left out.
  • A plain headline instead of the post's opening line. Each row says what happened, for example "Atlassian partnered with Flexera…". View post opens it on LinkedIn.
  • One row per story. When a competitor posts about the same launch several times, the feed keeps one.
  • Reposts are not theirs. Posts a competitor's page merely reshared from employees or partners are no longer counted as the competitor's own, in the feed or in posting rhythm.
  • A new Event filter sits next to the other change types.
  • Posting rhythm is counted from the posts' own dates, so "posted 32 times in the last two weeks (15 before)" is now a real count. The old, incorrect rows were removed.
  • New ad campaigns are reported again. "Started N new ads since the last check" could not appear before; it does now.
  • Croatian change counts of two to four now read in Croatian instead of English.

Where to find it

Open Competitors → What changed. LinkedIn news is dated by the post and mixed in with the other changes; use the type chips to see only events, launches or announcements.

Useful for

B2B teams whose competitors announce mainly on LinkedIn, and anyone who wants competitors' launches and events without following each company's page.
